Instant Style: The Holidays Made Easy

With the holidays approaching, your mailbox will soon be filled with countless invitations. From office parties to cocktails, sometimes it’s hard to find the perfect outfit. Silk dresses are always my go-to during the holidays since they’re easy to throw on and can be completely transformed with just the right accessories. Add eye-catching earrings or a unique clutch to instantly update any basic silk dress. Or opt for a silk dress in a vibrant color. Some may think that a black silk dress may get more use, but trust me you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Winter Report: Wool Coat

Simply put, you can’t survive any winter without the right layers. Wool coats are a necessity for staying warm during these chilling months but often tend to take a large chunk out of your wallet. Therefore, it’s important to find a coat that not only can be worn with everything in your closet, but also can effortlessly go from day to night.

REMEMBER: Do research! Similar to any pricey investment piece you want to feel confidence in your purchase and not experience buyers remorse.

Eyewear is becoming an increasingly important accessory to any wardrobe and to many is just as crucial as a fabulous bag or pair of earrings. Recently, eyewear has become bolder with frames getting larger as well as thicker. However, some designers have still stuck to creating frames that are more subtle and classic. With so many choices, you’re sure to find a pair of glasses to blend perfectly into your personal style while incorporating an essential fashion accessory.

First Look: Fall Fashion

Although I cringe at the mere thought of summer being over, the weekends spent at the shore are coming to an end and fall is quickly approaching whether we like it or not. However, the collections showcased on the runways this fall give us something to look forward to. The designer shows all expressed a common theme—a return to classicism and the simple styles of the past. Classic forms and vintage designs were both reinvented and reworked. Past trends were made in new fabrics as well as tweaked to appeal to today’s woman. In essence, fall is all about true classics being reinterpreted and a return to real clothes for real women.
